The global population is expected to eclipse 8 billion people. A leading question surrounds how to manage natural resource availability and usage.
Addressing the natural resource needs of a global population that's expected to surpass 8 billion people by 2025.
Using a short film to visuailze a workshop and the subsequent resource management digital prototype that would result from it, as well as accompanying narratives from the project's stakeholders.
The short film was screened alongside a demo of the natural resource usage analytics prototype at the 2015 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Visual Strategy Consultant
In partnership with Nielsen and the Conference Board, the UN Foundation and Salesforce's Ignite innovation team sought to make natural resource availability more apparent through the co-creation of a global resource dashboard that would be featured at the 2015 World Economic Forum. To document the beginnings of the concept design phase and the audible reactions that surfaced, as a visual strategy consultant, I worked with Salesforce and their partner organizations to visualize the design thinking process underpinning what would become the Project 8 digital platform. The result of my work was a short film that would be screened at the 2015 World Economic Forum alongside the digital platform debut.
An output of the workshop was a digital platform that could be used by local governments, municipalities, and perhaps even individuals as they look to track natural resource usage.
The final video put both the Ignite workshop and the scope of the problem in the context of a narrative reflection from one of the workshop's hosts.
